THIS GUITAR HAS A BOWLED NECK -- IT ONLY PLAYS BELOW THE 4th FRET.
Now no one can say I didn't warn you. This guitar is beautiful...but barely playable. The tuners on it are vintage Klusons so they are worth a little bit and it still has all the appointments -- pickguard, headstock emblem, whathaveyou. Seriously, other than the fatal fretboard quarter pipe, this thing is in great shape.
I used this guitar to prototype a new rubber bridge with built-in pickups. The system works pretty well, but unfortunately, as you may have heard, the neck is bowled. The end of the fretboard is curved upward and it makes everything past the 4th - 5th fret fret out. If you wanted to fix this, you would have to pull the last several frets (if not all of them) and relevel the board.
I have this one set up in baritone tuning. It plays pretty decent in the cowboy chord shapes area. I am selling it for basically the sum of it's parts. Felt better than parting it out. Sold as described, ABSOLUTELY NO RETURNS.
