PSB Stratus Gold 3 way Flagship Speakers Beautiful Original Version in Oak

Beautiful pair of original PSB Stratus Gold speakers. This speaker blew everyone away in 1991 with their impeccable design and performance. It’s very easy to see why, it’s a brilliant design. The speaker is really sort of a 2 way with an extremely high quality aluminum dome tweeter and large 6” midrange driver. These drivers sit in their own separated part of the enclosure atop a very large ported woofer enclosure that handles the low end. The 10” heavy, high excursion woofer goes very deep and is quite precise.

The speaker can be amplified separately or bridged. The speaker is finished in gorgeous oak and is very substantial. Everything about the speaker is heavy (around 100lbs each) and that contributes greatly to their balanced tone. There is just no cabinet coloration or vibrations. Everything is just excellent.

This pair is in excellent shape and working perfectly. They have a little wear to the grills and a few scratches and nicks but largely this is just a very clean perfectly functional pair.

It is a great speaker, a rival for the 801 matrix, green mountain continuum and other mega speakers of the early 90’s.

These are going to be difficult to package and will need a lot of care and packaging. I will pack them in new boxes and ship fully Insured.
