Vintage 1960's Astatic 10DA dynamic microphone Hi Z modified harp mic w F-11 adapter

 You are looking at a beautiful Astatic 10DA model dynamic microphone from the 1960's and comes complete with it's original F-11 adapter in which to operate. This was a good quality "general purpose" Dynamic microphone and was an affordable alternative to some of the more sophisticated dynamic cardioid mics of that era. It just happens to make an excellent harp mic as well with it's dirtier High Z tone.

 It should be noted right away that the original element was replaced with a Shure Controlled Reluctance element but the sound is not the greatest. It does work but I would suggest using a better element than what's inside.

 These mics are great for use with a harmonica being lite weight and easy to hold for prolonged periods of time. This mic will make a great candidate for such with a better working element. After 50 + years of use this 10DA still has a great looking polished chrome finish.

 This 10DA model had that classic deco look that was very popular in the 1930's to 1960's before the design lost appeal and was eventually phased out. Far more classy than flashy and looks quite elegant when you appreciate the lines on it. They certainly don't build these mics like they used too. 

  This unit has been thoroughly tested and cleaned. As you can see it has a very nice cosmetic condition. No dents or scratches. Just some very fine pitting. The black screen is free of any holes or rips. Joint mechanism on the F-11 works nicely and allows for a smooth sliding adjustment.

 The Astatic F-11 adapter is needed to operate the mic. Comes with standard male Switchcraft XLR end connector for use with most modern audio equipment. The cable is a short 10 inches in length so you will need to attach any longer XLR cable as an extension. The cable is soft, pliable and free of any cracks.

 The Astatic F-11 adapter with cable will allow you to screw this mic onto any American microphone stand.
