This is a 1960s MIJ Stewart drumset. It looks and sounds great! If you’re in to vintage MIJ drums, this is great kit to have. I started geeking out on these old MIJ drums in college when I found a pearl finish Stewart kit (minus floor Tom) in a pawn shop, and fell in love with them. I was on a 10+ year quest to find a matching floor, and finally stumbled on this full kit. I had to buy it and give it a good makeover.
IMO, these old MIJ drums sound best when tuned high (i.e. bop drumming).
It’s a great kit and I hate to sell it, but I simply don’t have the room or use for it anymore.
The drums are in great condition, with new tension rods, and new (or slightly used) heads.
There’s a little water damage and a scuff on the floor Tom from before I bought it, but it didn’t impact the sound or integrity of the shell.
The drums are:
16x22
16x16
10x13
5.5x14
*no snare stand
*no bass mounted cymbal rod : (
