Here is a very nice set of George Hayman Vibrasonic drums! This is the first iteration of Hayman drums that was introduced in 1968, making this set either '68 or '69. George Hayman Vibrasonic drums were produced to compete with the American drum market at the time. They are known to have a thick polyurethane interior coat that is said to aid in the projection of the shells - which it seems they accomplished. This set has a complete and functional Hayman rail mount and no extra holes, but it does not have its original finish and has been refinished to a nice natural maple. No extra holes and great bearing edges. Serial numbers and individual drum details below:

5.5x14" - very light interior poly checking, sounds fantastic!

14x22" - Vintage champagne sparkle inlayed hoops not original to the set, moderate interior poly checking, 9 out of 20 original T's located on resonant side. 10 T's resonant side, 10 normal tension rods batter side. Functional, complete and original Hayman rail mount!

9x13" - has the most severe interior checking that is a fairly common sight with Vibrasonic poly coating. Functional tom mount bracket.

16x16" - Original Hayman leg brackets with Ludwig tom legs. Moderate/light interior poly checking.

Steve’s notes: Hayman was a well made British brand and the drums sound great. The lugs are reminiscent of the DW lug (which was the old Camco lug), and the shells are warm and articulate. Whoever did the refinishing work did a really wonderful job. Great sounding set from an underrated manufacturer. These are really nice drums.
