Dwarfcraft Devices Wizard of Pitch Shifting Pedal

The idea was simple: Dwarfcraft takes its own Pitchgrinder pedal and chops it down into a diminutive size and add a Mix control. Mission: Accomplished.

In some ways, the Wizard of Pitch might outshine its predecessor: The resolution has been increased to 32 bits from a paltry eight, but the glitch is still all there. The new Speed control is dual function: when down, the Wizard functions as a standard pitch shifter, but when turned up, the pedal crossfades between the wet and dry signals—a spellcaster's delight!

The Bender toggle switch encourages the good wizard to adjust its pitch to the decay of the input signal.

Steps is more or less a glissando control, and engaging it makes the Wizard jump to the next pitch in the series rather than smoothly sliding to it. When the Bender toggle is also active, the Speed knob controls the rate of pitch changes, and not a crossfade.

The Wizard of Pitch is a great addition to one's pedalboard if they desire traditional pitchshifting, but as a sonically adventureous piece, the Wizard, like most Dwarfcraft pedals, is second to none.
