Very Cool! This one has a 60's era P Bass pickup added in the bridge position. Now this is what I was told by the previous owner who I took to be an honest Cat. I haven't pulled the pickup to check it so it's possible that it's some kinda of reissue from back in the day but it looks the part! The bass sounds great! No worries here. I raised the saddles a bit to limit the Jaco long Mahwwwww sound but it's there Baby...It's there! The neck is very nice in the hand, the maple board has lots of figuring and she's easy to play, feel and hear unplugged. 1 and 5/8th nut width and really good frets!
I'm a 90% upright bassist but this was always a dream bass for me and I love it but...I'm wanting to pull some cash out of the instrument collection and it looks like this is the girl to go. Normal wear, checking and fading of the finish and an area on the back where the finish is gone. It seems like someone cleaned up that area at some point and nothing is loose finish wise and it's totally stable. This is the lightest 70's P Bass that I have owned or played at 8.2 lbs. Lighter than my G&L MJ-4 which is always a surprise. The original case is in very god condition considering the age. I ship well and often via FedEx. Hit me directly!
