Offering a vintage 1940's Style NBC Astatic D-104 Crystal Microphone. This is a working prop, visually harkening back to the early days of network radio. The ring is hand-crafted from light-weight wood with NBC call letters, and rather fragile if mishandled. Mounted in the center is a fully working Astatic D104 crystal mic head, wired to a 4 foot cable with 1/4" male phono plug. The ring is 7" in diameter, and threaded onto a standard "On Stage" adjustable-height desk stand, 19"-24" total height. Again, please note: The wood ring is fragile, so any manipulation can risk it breaking. When you mount or unmount the ring to a stand, ONLY handle it by the very bottom thread adapter. Any twisting or turning by the ring WILL rick it breaking. In light normal use, it will perform well for you. The crystal element replicates the audio quality from those early days in radio, a thin audio profile favoring mid-high frequencies with bass roll-off.
