Kramer Focus 3000 Modified by a Van Halen Wannabe

Current Condition: Playable through only one humbucker pickup directly wired to a volume pot - no tone control. I also have the original neck pickup which failed the week I received this guitar - a strange coincidental failure?  It needed new springs for the Floyd Rose Licensed tremolo so I purchased a set of Floyd Rose noiseless springs and experimented with the old ones in combination and she plays nice now with the new and old springs installed - I don't have the correct tremolo bar for this Floyd Rose setup - it needs the older/original style FR tremolo arm.  I removed the failing neck pickup and neck wires (included) and she is an admirable axe that can compete with the best of them even in this condition in my opinion. Upper frets show a little wear and have a few light ruts and the frets appear to have never been leveled or polished. Currently the humbucker bridge pickup is held in place with putty for experimentation/initial setup testing. Action is nice the way it is and she stays in tune after a dive bomb. Lots of scuffs and scratches on body and neck is fairly smooth with only minor dings. The previous owner had set this up as a Van Halen style guitar. Vintage US 1974 Quarter included. Weighs approx 7.5 to 8 Pounds.

This may be an earlier version 3000 since It says "Made In Japan" as stamped on the rear of the head-stock and it doesn't sport the "Neptune, NJ" neck plate. Also note that the area underneath the Licensed Floyd Rose bridge farthest from the neck is not routed or recessed underneath and is surface mounted.

I suspect she was assembled in New Jersey, USA like most all of them were.

$450 for this project guitar "as-is". No case.
