1966 Fender Super Reverb 2-Channel 40-Watt 4x10" Blackface

1966 Fender Super Reverb 1966 nearly original condition.

Original components include: Blue Astron capacitors, all transformers, and the CTS Alnico speakers and the footswitch. Some of the pre-amp tubes and GE 6L6GC power tubes appear to be original.

The bias capacitor and electrolytic capacitors in the cap pan have been replaced with quality US made caps. The 25 volt 2 in 1 electrolytic caps on the circuit board have been replaced with quality F&T 2 in 1 caps made in Germany.

A grounded power cord has been installed for safety. The rear panel polarity switch & "death cap" have been taken out of the ac circuit, but left inside the amp. The rear panel ac outlet is also disconnected. Should a future owner desire to restore it to original wiring, it is a simple reconnect.

Overall this amp is in great condition, with only cosmetic flaws - a minor tear in the speaker grill, and transportation damage to the tolex on the back edge at the top and bottom of the amp. Otherwise it evidences the authenticity of the normal scuffs, wear and tarnish expected on a 56 year old players amp.

The reverb and tremolo work great. The CTS speakers are in good condition, however it goes without saying, 56 year old speakers won't take the power levels this amp can put out for very long if played even moderately hard. So put in replacements and save the original CTS's for posterity before you crank up the amp.
