This is a 1975 Large Bore Bach C trumpet that has a 229 Sterling Silver Plus bell, a Bel Canto Leadpipe and a Tuning slide trigger installed by Dick Akright. It was recently acquired from a retiring player from the Bay Area who purchased it new from the Bach Factory. The Akright modifications were done years ago when the bell was replaced with the current Sterling Silver bell. The body of the trumpet was replated somewhere along the way.
Plating is in excellent condition with only minor scratches and no plating loss. The valves are in great shape with excellent compression.
This trumpet was played professionally for a number of years but does not show significant wear for a horn of this vintage.
Does not come with a case, but we can provide a generic case if needed at no additional cost or we have several nice double cases listed for sale.
