Hi,I'm selling my 1960's Gretsch drum set.The sizes are, 14x18-bass drum [Not a converted floor tom] with original cymbal arm 8x12 small tom 14x14-floor tom with original legs 5x14 matching wood snare drum All the drums have their original round badges, paper tags, mufflers, die cast hoops, tension rods,washers.etc. The bass drum has it's original wood hoops rail mount, spurs,Pratt Muffler, and original BDP inlay strips. It also has it's original Logo Gretsch head. I also have the original Gretsch batter head too.The bass drum had one small extra hole near the rail mount. It seems the original owner I got it from took off the rail mount and put one extra hole and moved the cymbal mount over [he was a lefty] I put the original rail mount back on and Jack Lawton filled the tiny hole and covered it with original vintage Gretsch BDP finish.it's hard to pick our even close up.The snare and 8x12 have some finish shrinkage and seam lifting. There is also wear and some pitting on the die cast hoops. The floor tom had two small finish splits near the muffler knobs but they lay flat.I had Precision Drum glue them down anyway. The drums are all from the 60's and are 6 ply but they are not from the same kit.I've used this kit on many gigs and it sounds great. The snare drum has the Microsensitive strainer which works well and comes with Puresound wires. The finish on the snare is slighty lighter in color to the rest of the set but I have another Gretsch 8 lug snare with the finish matching perfectly but has the Reknown strainer if you want that one instead. I also have a matching black diamond pearl 1960's 16x16 Gretsch floor tom. Please email or call me at 845-430-8747 with any questions.
