Hello. Up for sale is a really clean Squier Super-Sonic guitar. This guitar was made in Japan in 1996 or 1997. It bears the Fender 50th anniversary emblem on the back of the headstock. The 50th Anniversary was 1996. The guitar has a “V serial number used in ‘96 and ‘97.

This is a one owner guitar. The condition is in the excellent territory as far as overall looks. I am listing this guitar as good condition since it has been "weight relieved " under the pickguard.

I have adjusted the price as well. The weight relief is reasonably well done. The resulting pocket follows the shape of the pickguard down to the depth of the bottom of the pickup routes. There is a tiny little route mark by where the jack is under the control plate. Over the years I've seen some extra factory routing on guitars after they were painted, I would guess was done after the fact. Funny, because the guitar is not heavy and otherwise is clean.

This guitar has the tone pot mod, I can easily place it back to the original configuration with two volumes and no tone.

Otherwise, the guitar looks and plays great. It has a few minor marks on the body but no big dings or scratches. The finish is bright and shiny. There are a few fine scratches on the chrome control plate . There is sone light tarnish on the bridge saddles. There is a small finish crack in the white paint at the corner of the neck pocket area. 

The neck and fingerboard are very clean. This guitar is very lightweight . Overall the guitar looks like it is 4-5 years old not 26 years old.

This would be a good one to have as a player. It is a cleam 90's version of this guitar with a reduced price.
