About This Listing

Mosrite Ventures '65 Reissue

This is a beautifully preserved Mosrite Ventures reissue finished in factory Pearl White which has yellowed slightly over the years. I believe this to have been produced in the Kurokumo factory in Japan in the 1990s based on the construction and features of the instrument.

This particular example features the "M" knobs, a Moseley branded tremolo system, black pickguard, prominent German carve on the basswood body and touching E and S letters on "The Ventures" logo on the headstock.

The maple neck has a very slim C profile and a slender feel in the hand, with the fretboard measuring 1 9/16" wide at the zero fret, just forward of the original aluminum nut.

The pickups are hot and articulate with a shimmering high-end and the classic "Mosrite of California" embossed covers.

The frets show some slight divots from playwear. The body itself shows some light chips and signs of wear consistent with a guitar that has been lovingly played over the last 3 decades.

This is an excellent instrument and a painstaking recreation of the classic Ventures models of the mid '60s at a fraction of the price, while still delivering a real vintage vibe and sound. Ships with the original Mosrite hard shell case.

Feel free to reach out with any questions, we're always interested in vintage trades!
