Vintage Ludwig Super Drums, Sky Blue Pearl, Date Stamped 1967 - Outstanding!

Hello vintage Ludwig drum fans.

Here we have a beautiful matched set of Ludwig Super Classic drums.

All drums have their original Keystone badges with corresponding, sequential serial numbers. Drums are date stamped June 1967.

The drums are in very good to excellent original condition. Hard to find, collectible and highly desirable kit. Case kept set. well cared for and carefully stored when not in use.

Bass drum and toms finished in original sky blue pearl. Tight wrap, no bubbling or seam lift. Rich, vibrant, glossy and even colors on all drums - no color fade. No added holes on the shells. Some light/minor surface wear on the chrome hardware from routine use -- very presentable kit following 55 years of faithful service!Shell interiors and bearing edges are in excellent condition. Bass drum and toms have their original factory white shell interiors with reinforcement rings. Bearing edges on the bass drum and toms have been professionally re-cut buy well-known and respected drum builder Jeff Kirsch, Portland Oregon (you can find Jeff at ). These re-done bearing edges further enhance drum tone with added resonance and clarity -- they simply sing!

 Details and Specs.

 Bass drum -- 22 round x 14. 10 lugs per side. Serial numbers 523072. The original wood hoops have been replaced with newer, black finish, same style as the original wood hoops by Jeff Kirsch Drums. The original sky blue pearl matching hoop inlay was transferred from the original hoops to the replacement hoops. The hoops and inlay look fantastic and are in excellent condition with one very small spot (about 1/4 inch) of missing inlay near the underside of one of the hoops. Tight inlay on both hoops, no lifting. All drum hardware is original including tension rods and claws, legs/spurs and leg mounts. Original single tom rail mount and post in excellent working order. The drum has one small spot on the top side behind the tom rail mount where the wrap finish is missing --circular in size and about the size of a pencil eraser (1/8 inch diameter). This spot has been filled in with silver enamel that blends nicely with the drum finish/color and is hardly noticeable. Absolutely no blemish to the wood shell. Heads -- Remo coated ported resonate head and coated batter head. 

Floor tom -- 16 x 16 on legs. 8 lugs per side. Serial numbers 521810. Original lugs, hoops, legs with rubber feet and leg mounts. Original rectangular white padded internal muffler with baseball bat control arm. Heads -- Remo coated batter and resonate heads.

 Rack tom -- 13 round x 9. 6 lugs per side. Serial numbers 521541. Original hoops, lugs, tom mounting port. Original rectangular white padded internal muffler with baseball bat control arm. Heads -- Remo coated batter and resonate heads.
