Great guitar if you're looking for a player and/or have some wet-sanding/polish skills. Would be mint condition except for a few superficial dings/blemishes here and there as well as a cosmetic repair in progress explained in the paragraph below. The case also has a minor bit of exterior wear. Weight of the guitar is 8.4 pounds.
These studios are infamous for factory defects and this was no exception. There was a finish crease where the neck meets the body. The joint is firm and stable. There was an attempt to fill it in cosmetically with Stew Mac super glue which for the most part was successful. However, the part of wet-sanding and polishing still remains. Four pictures of the current state of cosmetic repair are shown at the very last. Any light-colored portions are tape residue that will come off with wet-sanding. (A more thorough explanation of this is provided at the very bottom of this listing for any that still have concerns.) Factory specs below:

Studio model features Gibson quality in a no-nonsense package
The ES-335 Studio was designed for guitar players who want the performance of an ES-335, but without the unnecessary frills of the traditional model. Ideal for studio musicians, the ES-335 Studio focuses firmly on optimal sound output, retains all elements of the traditional model that contribute to its legendary tone, and dispenses with the rest. Another benefit of creating a stripped-down ES-335 is its stripped-down price! Nonetheless, you can still expect a top-quality Gibson guitar.
Dual humbuckers deliver legendary vintage tone
Tonal excellence is yours when you plug the ES-335 Studio into your favorite amplifier. Loaded with a vintage-voiced '57 Classic pickup in its neck and a hotter Super '57 pickup in its bridge, you'll be able to dial in chiming country tones as easily as savagely distorted rock tones. The neck pickup gives you classic hollowbody-style tones for everything from smooth jazz to dirty blues. Flip to the bridge position, and you'll command sounds covering everything from bright and clean to raw and mean.

The Gibson Memphis ES-335 Studio semi-hollowbody electric guitar is a stripped-down no-nonsense performer!
The initial problem is that there was a small crease/crevasse/valley in the finish where the neck joint meets the body on the back. Possible causes are that they didn't properly/fully set the neck joint, or sanded the neck joint improperly, causing it to have a gap before it went in to final finish. Because the gap was not sealed prior to finish, it caused a small crease/crevasse/valley in the finish where the neck joint meets the body on the back once the finish had fully dried. These issues were common in the Memphis plant at the time.
Current status is that the super glue still has to be leveled a bit more via wet-sanding and/or razor/tape scraping prior to being buffed to shine with a Dremel tool. At my current capabilities, this will be a 3 to 4 hour project that I've not had the time to work in.
The previous owner said he owned it for 5 years and the crease did not move/shift at all. I also can affirm that the neck is firm in its set and the super glue will only add to that. The guitar plays great, and the cosmetic blemish is only a concern for those who overvalue what the back of a guitar looks like.
Hope that helps. Lmk if you need any other pictures or explanations.
