Up for sale is this vintage circa 1972 Gibson EB-0 bass guitar husk project. This bass will require parts and work to be playable, so please read the entire description and see all of the photos. This one is sold "AS IS".
This listing includes the body and neck, a pair of non-original knobs, the original wiring harness which has been tested and works (date codes are soldered over, but we can see "1377---"), a non-original truss rod cover, the original jack plate (cracked, but functional), the cavity shielding, an obviously non-original bridge, and the back plate (loose fitting, but it looks to be original).
This bass has a severe twist in the neck and the truss rod is non-functioning. The first few frets have been ground down to try to compensate for this at one point (pictured). There is a small crack on the slot-head on the treble side (pictured) that did not go all the way through and looks to have been repaired.
The body is in nice condition with the exception of the extra bridge screw holes, but does show typical wear from many years of use. There are no cracks or breaks. We have not cleaned this one up, but the body would clean up pretty nicely. We will leave this to the new owner so that they can choose how much cleaning up to do.
Overall, this one is a fairly big project, but it's priced right and someone will have a fun time with it. This one would also make a great starter project for someone who is experienced but wants to dive into the heavier end of guitar repair. These husk projects never last long, so grab it while you can! Again, sold "AS IS".
