Price has gone up but still accepting offers. This is the last Blackmachine I have for sale. The others sold out!
This is a used
Authentic Blackmachine. You can actually see this guitar on the front of
the Blackmachine website. Nicknamed BMX because of the original buyer and
Doug’s affinity for BMX biking. Doug obliged by making this very unique
Blackmachine with some non-traditional features such as: blue hardware
mix, maple neck, and both black and silver hardware. This is a hand made guitar by Doug Campbell
of Blackmachine Guitars in London England.
Have no fear if blue hardware is not your thing. I have included all
black hardware should you decide to change it over. I have included a few
photos of the all black hardware and what it would look like.
Some history: In the beginning, Blackmachine Guitars were hand made by Doug in London for friends and guitar players in his community. The brand really took off when people started posting positive reviews online, and gained further momentum after progressive rock/metal bands such as Periphery, Sikth and so many more started recording and touring with their Blackmachine guitars. These days it is difficult to get ahold of a genuine Blackmachine. Doug continues to hand make guitars, but very rarely does he open up the ordering. In fact, very rarely does he build guitars these days. Sometime around 2011-2012, Doug stopped making guitars for a short time and has since not made very many. He continues to build, but in the last 2-3 years he has made maybe 5-6 guitars and this is one of them. This is one of the later builds from the last 2-3 years. Doug occasionally would put them up for sale on his site, but people started overwhelming him with offers so he slowed down and only makes them for very close friends if at all. Demand remains strong. You will not find an older Blackmachine for less than $12,000 USD, and the newer ones have sold for 22K+ in recent years. This is the last one he has made with an ebony top and the very first with a maple fretboard!
Major guitar manufacturers have offered Blackmachine alot of money for the rights to recreate and mass produce his design to which he has personally told me he will never do. He simply doesn’t trust anyone with the "secret" to his work and design. There is a lot that goes on in his building. He will not produce a guitar with just any wood. He will wait years to source the right timber and he isn’t interested in money or selling to just anyone.
If you want a "newer" Blackmachine B2 then this is your best chance. It has zero issues and is as good as it looks. Plays like it should. You will be impressed. At this moment it very well be your chance of a lifetime. Or you can watch the many guitar companies make copies and sell them regularly on forums and over the internet. Many companies have copied this design and many more will. The thin body, pointy headstock, and subtle beveling were the first of their kind. If you want the best, then this is your chance.
The tone is absolutely unlike anything else out there. The balance and playability is unmatched.
