Details from manufacturer: Lowell SCS-4 Low voltage, 4-step sequencers provide time-delayed activation and deactivation of equipment connected to remote power controls or accessory systems . Used to sequentially activate equipment connected in the same rack or in remote locations . Sequence operation is initiated by a switch. LEDs indicate status of connected equipment and an adjustable delay allows 0 . 5-10 seconds between steps . Includes barrier strip control outputs, contacts for connecting remote switches, and an alarm interface for use where required by local building codes . Each of the four control outputs includes switch contacts for connection to remote power control-activated equipment and auxiliary dry contacts for sequentially activating accessory systems such as projector screens, lighting, blinds, etc . To sequentially activate equipment: each sequencer output (terminals labeled “Common” or “Switched Relay”) is connected to a Remote Power Control (Lowell RPC-series) via a 2-conductor cable . The equipment to be switched on/off is then plugged into the appropriate RPC . Each sequencer output can control up to 10 RPCs . To sequentially activate accessory systems or indicator devices: each control output includes accessory contacts (normally closed, common, normally open) with a rating of 5A for connection to peripheral devices . To remotely operate the sequencer unit: features contacts for connecting an optional switch (up to 8 in parallel) using a 3-conductor wire . Lowell offers two switch styles (wall plate or rackmount) with rocker or key switch activation .
