Comes with original case.
If you ever wanted a vintage Flying V but didn't have the means to get a Gibby, this is your ticket to awesomeness.
Made in Japan in 1980 (dating the serial number gets the year of manufacture), this spot on V features an all Mahogany body & neck with Rosewood fingerboard. The neck angle is perfect; no cracks or settling issues. The pick guard has aged from white to a creamy parchment hue, and the bridge and tailpiece have aged as well.
The pickups were replaced with a custom set with raw nickel covers (and they have already started to age nicely!). The tone control has been converted to a variable coil-tap for the neck pickup, while the volumes and 3-way toggle remain the same function as usual. The tuning machines were replaced with Kluson Revolution keys, and with the 19:1 ratio are fantastic!!!
There are some minor areas of wear on the body, especially on the ends of the V-tips. Notably a previous owner had installed an extra strap pin (I guess to avoid using a stand), but it has been removed - yet the hole remains. The frets are in great condition, and the truss rod works without issue.
Get in on an awesome collection piece that will make audiences and band members alike drool in envy!!!
