About this listing
This is a rare beauty. The OM was built for the 2018 NAMM show and is loud, rich, and responsive. Dana's torrefied "Aged Tone" Adirondack spruce tops are some of his most responsive and the rare choice of Guatemalan rosewood (straight-grained and very attractive) looks and sounds incredible. The large soundhole and deep body increases the depth and volume of the bass register, and this one packs a punch! It also looks amazing, with Dana's trademark dark tobacco sunburst contrasting the ivoroid binding. Specs include 1 3/4" nut, 2 5/16" string spacing at the saddle, 4 1/2" body depth at lower bout, long 25 1/2" scale, bound fingerboard with no inlays, hot-stamped Bourgeois logo on the back of the peghead, hot hide glue, relic'd Waverly tuners. An LR Baggs lyric pickup is installed. The playing condition is great, with basically no fret wear. A few small cosmetic items worth pointing out: there is some light finish hazing on the top and some faint pick marks. The peghead has a few pronounced dings, pictured. There is one pin-point sized finish ding on the shaft of the neck behind the 2nd fret, and one slightly larger (approx 1/8") sized spot of finish wear behind the 7th fret. Again, sound and playability are superb for both strumming and finger picking. Video below. This was a special build for the Winter NAMM Show 2018 and is very rare. Comes with the amazing original hardshell case. FREE SHIPPING INSURED CONUS.
