Ceriatone OTS/ODS #183 5OW 2022 Purple Suede

Built in an Amplified Nation Chasis with Ceriatone and vintage NOS parts!! This was built by a local US based builder who has copied the original as close as possible.. Included an image of the build quality so you’re assured that this was a high-end build, as well as the beautiful suede cabinet that was hand wrapped.

Used all Ceriatone parts and layout.

The Ceriatone Overtone Special “183” 50 is a clone of a very unique “D” amplifier that marked the transition from high-plate non-HRM amplifiers to the HRM topology that featured EL34s.

If you’re familiar with the circuit design of “D” amplifiers, you’ll notice how…err…different #183 is. With it’s EL34 power tubes, lack of negative feedback on V1B, barely-there snubber caps on V2, and other departures...183 gives a glimpse into the tonal evolution of one of the most legendary amp builders.

Tonally, 183 sits somewhere between the fatness of the high-plate Skyline and the clarity and harmonic smear of the HRM. Yeah, we know how esoteric that sounds. You’ll understand when you play it.

As with all Ceriatone amplifiers, we’ve obsessed over component selection, and it uses our specially designed, custom transformers for superior reliability, frequency response, and feel.
