Summers Basses are made by Don Summers, bassist for the Moving Sidewalks and the original luthier for Billy Gibbons. This is a short scale Tele style bass (30 inches); blonde Fender Squire neck with Hipshot Tuners. The body is T Bird Turquoise painted poplar with a Kirei wood top and black binding. The neck pickup is standard Tele, and the bridge pickup is a Blade Pole piece by GFS. Kirei wood is a distinctive durable man-made product. The custom made bridge is strung through the body with Fender 51 style saddles. The pickup cover is a Fender 51 style P Bass cover. The neck pickup is recessed into the body as are the string ferrules. A molded hard case by Tourtek is included. Total weight of the bass is 7 lbs 6 oz. This is number 0005 of 0008.
