Fender Standard Stratocaster 2012 Arctic White Natural Player Relic

Here we have what many pay a lot of extra money to emulate - many long hard hours of real player ware, discoloration and battle wounds! Although it does not have the iconic 70s Big headstock, the reminessant logo and natural aging make this guitar look like it could be from that era.

This is a 2012 Standard Stratocaster that has been played hard and really has a lot of soul. I thought seriously about keeping this one for myself, just because it has such a great feel and many stories to tell through your fingers.

The Alder body and Chrome hardware are all original and the tremolo has been decked and blocked "Clapton style" with no tremolo arm. The pickguard assembly is from an older MIM standard upgraded with a Mint Green Fender USA pickguard. The pickups are low output (6.4 - 6.6K) ceramics with beveled poles and deliver full clean classic Strat tone. Standard CTS pots and Oak Grigsby 5 way switch. The body has many knicks, dings, chips and the typical finish cracks on either side of the neck pocket. Just  the kind of character a true relic Strat ought to have.

The neck is quite worn but plays fantastic. Like your favorite old broke-in baseball glove, hiking boots or Levi's, it just feels great. The frets are low with flat tops, for those who like to play with a softer touch. The finish is vintage tint gloss that has been taken down to satin on the back side. I love the 70s style logo on the headstock. It has a 9.5" fretboard radius and modern C rear profile. We leveled and polished the frets the best we could given the amount of ware but they still show minor spots on the first few frets. But don't fret 😏, it does not affect playability and as I said, the neck plays fantastic. Just know that they probably won't be able to be leveled again, which shouldn't be necessary for most casual players out there.

The guitar is strung with GHS Boomers 10-46 gauge strings and weighs 7.5 lbs. It will ship UPS with a signature required for delivery.
