Here we have a Sundown Artist A100, 100 watt combo amplifier. Do not confuse these great old amps with the turkeys bearing the same name that are available on the market today. They might say Sundown and have a similar logo, but that is where they stop being similar to this amp. Make no mistake, this is a tear your head off, blow you away, beautiful little amp. The modern Sundowns aren't even in the same league. This amp sounds wonderful and has a huge array of tonal variations. You can get everything and anything out of them from Mesa Boogie to Fender Champ. These unique amplifiers featured a "governor" for controlling output level on both channels. Similar in function to the "Hot Plate". When used properly, these amps can produce roaring overdrive, at a whisper level. This amp also has an RMS level control, Reverb with presence control, Push/pull drive boost on the red (right) channel, push pull channel switching on the green (left) channel, push pull low/mid boost on right channel, effects loop on both channels, channel switching and more. I cannot over emphasis this amplifiers range of control, the possibilities are endless. The last person to work on this amp was none other than Dennis Kager, founder of Sundown amps himself. Dennis also installed the 4 matched Phillips power tubes that you see in the photos. I jumped at the opportunity to have these great old tubes when Dennis offered them to me. He said he saved them for Sundown guys. He wouldn't offer them up otherwise, they're too precious. Pretty cool. The amp comes with a custom cover and a rough copy of the original setup sheet that came with the amp. Dennis gave it to me. Sorry, it's a copy of a copy of a copy, so its pretty fuzzy, but legible. No, shipping. the amp is too heavy, I just don't want to deal with shipping, sorry.

Please consider when thinking about bidding on a vintage amplifier, "vintage" means what it says. Like an old car or an old house, they need care and attention. This amp was last serviced by Dennis Kager a few years ago, I can check on the date if you're interested. Dennis replaced caps and whatever else was needed at the time. The amp has been turned on periodically and played for short periods of time, but it has not seen any gigging since its last service. This is the kind of amp you can keep forever, there is little that could ever go wrong that could not be fixed. Unless you do something stupid, like plug it into the wrong voltage and fry the transformer, or drop it in a pool, there is little that could ever happen to these work horse amps that is not serviceable. The only reason why I am selling this and the other Sundown I have listed is I need the money for another purchase. But I still have one more sunny that I will never sell. :-) I will never be without one of these in my arsenal.

the amp is serial number 707060. Payment must be made prior to pick up.

Happy bidding, ask questions if you have them.
