USB 3.0 midi interface with 8 midi ports and a USB 3.0 hub with 3 connectors. Each of the 8 ports can be either used as a midi input or output which are all handled automatically. The M4U ex detects the signal and uses a color coded led light on the front panel to show which port is in or out. It has multiple operation modes so it can be used fully standalone without a computer. You can route input to output signals, merge midi signals or use it as a thru box. All of these modes can be selected using the mode button of the front of the device. It comes with a power supply.
I bought this for my dawless setup then changed my production setup so it’s no longer needed. I barely used it. It’s like new with all of the original packing materials and cables. It was kept under dust cover in a smoke free home studio.
