Fender Squier Stratocaster - Black 2008 - Black Gloss

2008 Black Fender Squier Stratocaster Electric Guitar. Setup perfectly with low action. It is a workhorse of a guitar and has been on tour all over the USA but always well cared for. The D'Addario Strings on it are new.

It has been kept in a climate controlled environment since I got it. It has upgraded better quality Fender String Trees and Mother of Pearl Pick Guard ( Front and back match ) and Fender Squier Logo Tuners and good quality String Saddles that are a step up from the old school Fender saddles.

It is a Road Warrior of a Guitar...built rock solid. It has an alder body, Hard Rock Maple neck, quilted Maple headstock (front). Also has a Rosewood Fingerboard and Squier by Fender engraved 'frosted Logo' on the neck plate. Strings are through body like all Strats.

You can feel it that it weighs a little more than Strats made in later years in the product line. The neck is conditioned with Linseed oil (once a year) and frets are great and lightly polished. Nice guitar. Comes with plain black gig bag and Free set of D'Addario Light Gauge Strings (9-42).

There is a small ding in the body (see photos) south of the bridge that is barely noticeable but that doesn't affect how wonderfully playable it is. It has normal wear from being played but everything is in great shape. It has a Custom Shop logo put on the back of the headstock just for fun... You can always remove it easily ... The previous owner hated the name "Squier" and stuck the Fender Logo sticker on the headstock... I can see his point of view ~ "A Fender is a Fender is a Fender, even if it's a Squier series guitar."

Overall this guitar is meant to be played a lot. IMHO: It is dependable. Cool color too.
