This Brazilian Rosewood back and sides Martin dreadnought is being offered for sale by the present owner who acquired the guitar in 1993. Although the neck block records this Martin model to be a D-28 it has upgraded features that were manufactured and completed at the Martin factory making this a one off instrument. Specifically, it has a bound ebony fingerboard similar to a D-35 and the top has the abalone purfling pattern and a pickguard similar to a D-41. The bridgeplate is also rosewood which is keeping with the standard bridgeplate wood species of the D-41 when it was formally released in 1969 making this a prototype guitar. Comes with the OHSC. Thank you for looking.
