Parting ways with one of my favorite guitars i have ever owned. It has been with me since I purchased it brand new in 2007. I had it imported from Japan to ‘Instrumental’ a music store here in Dublin Ireland. It unfortunately doesn’t get the attention it deserves anymore so it needs a new home.
I have changed out the original EMG 81 pickups and installed a Bare Knuckle Pickups ‘Warpig’ set. They are a perfect match for this V and it is just a metal machine.
The tone of the guitar is amazing an very resonant even unplugged! The neck plays fast and the guitar is a nice weight too!
The factory Kathler tremolo 2315 has been replaced with a Kahler Hybrid model that has a lockable feature and in black as the original was black nickel. The first run of these models had the solid black Kahler and then was changed to black nickel.
The 42mm locking nut has an been replaced with an Original Floyd rose locking nut in black as I feel is superior and works better then the stock Kahler nut.
The guitar has been impeccably maintained by myself all it’s life. It is fairly roadworn and has been used for over 100 gigs and has been on tour around Europe a few times. Any major wear and buckle rash can be seen in the photo’s. There is a crack in one of the photos shown but it is just the paintwork.
The white paint has faded to a lovely off white/yellow colour. The hard case has been through the mill so has some damage but still does it’s job. I’ve had to patch it up a few times.
The factory specs are :
Neck-Thru-Body Construction
25.5" Scale
Alder Body
Maple Neck
Ebony Fingerboard
Iron Cross Inlays
42mm Locking Nut
Thin U Neck Contour
24 XJ Frets
Black Nickel Hardware
Gotoh Tuners
Kahler 2315 Bridge
EMG 81 (B & N) Active p.u.
Finish: SW (Snow White)
