This Marantz receiver is in great shape and sounds great. Not as great as a 2230 but still holds its own and delivers 30 watts/ch. The Marantz SR2000 was introduced in 1980 and delivers 30 watts per channel into 8 ohms with no more than 0.04% total harmonic distortion. It does not have the same build quality as famous Marantz 22XX receivers from the 70's but still has a very pleasant and detailed sound.
All of the electronics work as they should, including both speaker systems. Cosmetically it's really clean. The red FM lock lamp still lights when you are perfectly tuned to a station. It is missing one of the screw caps and has a small but visible scratch on the left side (shown in photos). It also needs a lamp replaced on the tuner dial.
My parents bought this unit new in the early 80s and I still have it to this day.
