Omega 12" Combo Amplifier w/Tremolo Early 1960's White/Grey

This amp came from an estate of what I assume is the original owner, but I can't be completely sure. It's a bit of a mystery to me, as I can barely find any info of the brand online. I'll tell you what I know about this particular one. 

It's a combo amp, with a 12" speaker. The original speaker is a Jensen P12 Alnico Concert series. The speaker appears to have some voice coil rub, which does effect the sound in a negative way. I am including the original speaker with the sale of this amp, so if you want to have it restored, you can put it back in the amp. Currently, the cabinet is loaded with a Eminence Legend series speaker, which is a little overkill for this amp, but it sounds similar to the original. It's a little bright, with some good spank in the upper mids. There's a warm bottom end to the sound when it's turned up, but not a heavy bottom end at all. When turned up, there's a nice natural mild overdrive, with a bit of sag in the low end.

The amp is driven by 5Y3 rectifier, 2 6AQ5A, 2 12AX7, and a single 6AU6 tube set. I estimate output to be around 10-12 watts. The tubes have been recently replaced. 

Guessing on the age, I place this amp in the early sixties. All of the internal components are stamped 'Made in Japan', but there are not date codes stamped on any pots or transformers. The date code on the Jensen speaker says it was made in a year that ends in a 9, so I'm assuming the speaker is from 1959. 

Controls are simple, Volume and Tone. There is a tremolo section to the amp, but it is not currently working. There are a couple leads broken off of the 'Speed' pot in the amp. The tremolo is switched on via a foot switch, but it did not come with the amp. The volume and tone pots have been replaced, as they were not functioning properly when I got the amp. The knobs are not original, as a couple were broken when I got the amp.

Cosmetically, the grille is in great shape, it's still tight around the frame, and has a great vintage pattern to it. The rest of the amp does have some tears to the cover. I don't believe the material is tolex, it has more a fabric feel to it than tolex. There is some staining on the bottom of the amp as well. You can see the state of the cosmetics in the pictures. 

As far as other info, I'm led to believe this is a Japanese copy of an Ampeg model of the same era. I've also seen a similar amp on gear pages that discuss Radiohead's gear, and that Johnny Greenwood used a model similar to this at one point writing/recording. 

The amp will ship with the Eminence speaker loaded, and also with the original Jensen speaker. The tubes will be packed securely to ensure no damage during shipping.
