yes, it's one of the most beautiful bursts you're gonna see

yes, it weighs about 8.5 lbs approximately (I don't have a scale).
yes, it comes with a new brown Gator Les Paul case.
I am only selling this because I can't make real good friends with the slim neck; but note, though this neck is slim, it does not feel nearly as slim as the neck on a 1960. This still has some meat on her. Despite having horribly tiny hands myself, I fare better on a 50's style neck.
yes, it is basically free of any serious dings with the following exceptions:

1) the lacquer finish is absolutely covered with fine checking, making it look perhaps older than 1992. It is a 1992. It lived on a wall in a studio in Nashville and was rarely played. The fabulous checking occurred naturally, because certain landlords who shall go nameless are cheap with the heat here in Boston, and winters are cold as witches teats. This makes the guitar worth more, not less. And no, I didn't create the checking with spray can nonsense. It's real, from real life.
2) a significant amount of lacquer has fallen off the back of the neck. I did not sand this to create this effect. It just had a rather fine finish on it. However, after the fact, I have needed to take a fine Scotchbrite pad to the neck to clean off lacquer flakes.

Some things to know: these Alnico II pickups are bright as the sun! I believe these are the 598T hum buckers that some people are ambivalent about. However in this particular Les Paul they sound amazing. This would make for a killer lead guitar sound.
The electronics might be a custom job. When you turn the volume all the way down on each pot, you still get 'woman tone,' if you want it. You don't get hiss or noise, but you can still play the thing and it sounds good.

No, I won't send you the serial number.
No, you can't have the beagle.
No, if you buy this, you cannot return it.
No, the strap will NOT be sent with the guitar.
No, I won't open the pickups and take photos of them.
No, I won't sell this for less than the listed price. You are paying what I paid for the guitar, plus money for the appropriate brown Tolex case. No, I won't sell the case or guitar separately.
