This is the “atomic humbucker” bridge pickup from a Squier paranormal Toronado, it’s Alnico magnets (Squier doesn’t specify what alnico type, but I’m guessing alnico v), and around 14k if memory serves. Basically it’s a pretty good budget version of a Duncan JB, with all the forward mids you’d expect from that style of overwound bridge humbucker. If you like those punchy Green Day power chords and wanna do it on the cheap, this is your guy. I tried trimming one of the screws down to fit it into a guitar with shallower routing, but didn’t succeed, so you may need to find a new screw, or just finish cutting it yourself. Its a cool pickup, better than you’d think it to be considering it’s coming off a fairly inexpensive guitar, but I ended up putting something more akin to a Super Distortion in the bridge of that particular axe, and no longer have a need for this pickup. Make it yours today and get rocking!
