Here are the new CVPlate-RM features for 2022/2023:

-Fully engraved front and back faceplates just like the flagship CVPlate-T tube models!

-All new main audio board with multiple transformer options (US-made transformers stock) and lower noise floor.

-Vastly improved suspension system allows for fast & easy single-bolt lockdown (for shipping prep) accessible from tool-less quick access side panel.

-Externally accessible voltage calibration trim with standard 2mm test points allows for easy service and preventative maintenance checks.

-Improved remote system with all-new damper counterbalance and improved remote control boards for quieter, smoother, and more reliable operation.

Plate descriptions:

Brass C260 - The brightest sounding plate of the selection and the most versatile; really easy to mix with. Bright highs, warm mids, full lows. Long high-freq. decay time. A CVPA personal favorite. Max 500hz decay time: 6.3s

Pure Nickel (+$800USD) - This high-end option has the most natural/smooth sounding reverb tail in my opinion. A little darker than Brass with less high-freq. decay, but slightly better response compared with CRS. Less resonant compared with CRS. Max 500hz decay time: 4.5s

Cold Rolled Steel (CRS) - The most artificial "metallic" sounding of the selection; for those who want a unique plate with character. Resonant & bright. Medium high-freq. decay time. Max 500hz decay time: 4.5s

Stainless Steel - Just a hint of a metallic sound, but still very natural sounding. Superior oxidation resistance and plate strength.  Very short high-freq. decay time; may not be suitable for high-freq. instruments, but great for snare and instruments in the lower freq. range. Max 500hz decay time: 4s

CVPlate-R Remote Option Features:

-1RU rackmount remote featuring discrete analog LED metering with 10 LED's total for quick "at-a-glance" multi-angle decay time indication; allows for more accurate calibration of indicated decay time, etc. 

-High-end NKK pushbuttons, LED brightness, and calibration right on the front panel!  

-Remote utilizes standard Cat 5/6 RJ45 cable - easy to integrate with existing building wiring (cable section must be network-isolated). 

-Super quiet and friction-less moving magnet actuator - the only things heard are the faint sounds of the silicone damped bushings and the engagement/disengagement of the actuator coils. 

-Local damper/decay time control on the unit's front panel

-Your choice of plate - choose either Brass, Stainless Steel, or Cold Rolled Steel for free (pure Nickel is +800USD).

-US-made full audio bandwidth input and output transformers.

-Tough, high-quality circuit boards w/wide copper traces and high-end connectors throughout.

-2520-style discrete opamp pin/socket footprint supports a selection of opamps from CVPA and many others* (*3rd party opamps pending tests). Customize your sound and easily service the unit down the road.

-Upgraded external & internal power supplies

-New super-tough powder-coated panels with professional heat-cure thermoset silkscreen (or engraved) labeling.

Condition: Small scratches/scrapes/imperfections throughout - common to custom hand-made & thoroughly tested items.

Special considerations: The CVPlate should be located in a quiet equipment room, closet, or humidity/temp controlled basement for best isolation from vibrations and noise. The unit must be kept away from strong sources of RFI (high powered WIFI router) or EMR (power transformers, electric motors, microwaves, etc.).

NOTE: The design of the CVPlate will be constantly improved as new units ship out - current specifications/cosmetics may change from the unit pictured.
