These speakers are wonderful. They work perfectly for house shows, backyard parties and concerts, and small indoor venues. Don't let the Harbinger name fool you. Out of all of their speakers I tested at Guitar Center, these were the purest. Active speakers tend to be noisy, so having them close to the audience can be annoying. Since these are passive, they are completely silent when not playing anything. Between mixing tracks on my studio monitors at home and playing gigs with these speakers, I find that my sounds translate really well, with little need for adjustment. I recommend pairing them with a good subwoofer. I am actually selling a KRK 10s studio subwoofer as well. That subwoofer pairs wonderfully with these. Also, the Bluetooth pairing functionality works great! If you're just playing back music from a phone at home or during set up, this is a really nice thing to have.
One thing to note: even though there are XLR inputs on the powered mixer, the only way to get true stereo is to use the stereo quarter inch TRS inputs. You can use the XLR inputs, but they will be set to mono. If you patch in a larger mixer, either analog or digital, make sure to use XLR to TRS cables or standard TRS cables. Message me if you have any other questions. Thank you!
