Classic Vintage Recording Studio & Engineering is taking 1 pre-order for a DBPS-2 Universal Double and Single Button Carbon Mic Power Supply w/special mic cable. Lead time: approx 3 weeks. These are hand-built in Ozark, AL by me personally.

This top-of-the-line vintage UTC transformer-balanced power supply sounds excellent with any double or single-button carbon mic from a top-of-the-line 1920s double-button Western Electric 387 to a single button telephone transmitter - check out the video below for an example of how it sounds with the vintage 1930's American Model "CD" double-button mic also for sale by CVRSE!

Super easy operation with only one knob. Dual US-made Triplett meters allow you to monitor button current for both buttons at once - great for adjusting button balance on the fly for ultimate sound quality. Balanced XLR out at industry-standard microphone output impedance (approx 200-ohms) provides perfect integration with modern and vintage mic preamps of low-medium gain.

Handmade at CVRSE in Ozark, AL.
Power source: 4 x standard C-cells (rechargeable batteries recommended) *batteries not included for shipping purposes.
Construction: vintage style point-to-point - made with high-end components such as a vintage US-made UTC input/output transformer, vintage US bakelite knob, US mil-spec Ohmite rheostat, US Triplett meters, Canadian Hammond aluminum chassis, solid red oak sides (different woods and stains available - just ask), and Australian Amphenol XLR out.
Output impedance (when connected to DB carbon mic of approx 100ohms/button): approx 200 ohms
Controls: power switch, button current control, meter on/bypass.
Inputs/outputs: balanced Switchcraft 1/4" TRS input (can accept single or double button carbon mics) - balanced Amphenol XLR output.

Carbon mic cable:
9ft Heavy-gauge shielded Gepco balanced 2-conductor & shield mic cable with Amphenol TRS and spade connectors.

Flaws: small scratches and scrapes throughout - common to vintage and handmade items.
