For your consideration is a Brown Bear 60s T-style guitar. Brown Bear is a well respected luthier out of Canada who manufactures custom guitars. Although it doesn’t say Fender on the headstock, you will have a hard time finding a guitar of this build quality, with these parts, for my asking price. I have not done the math, but I honestly doubt you could buy the parts plus Warmoth/Fender body/neck for this price. I originally purchased this to have a Telecaster; as I had not owned a Tele in about 15 years. Turns out, if I want to play a Fender I just prefer a Strat. Thus, it’s been sitting in the closet for far too long. It's a damn fine guitar, and I'd put it up against anything Fender makes. I've had plenty to compare it to. Someone needs to use it, cause I'm not. I'm selling to fund a partscaster build.

• Body: Alder with real nitrocellulose burgundy mist metallic paint. Double bound. The binding is not pure white or cream. It’s one of those weird in between colors. I’m thinking it’s parchment because it matches the pickguard and parchment is a pretty common color on Fender plastics. The Burgundy mist has metallic flakes, is not quite purple and not quite red. It’s hard to capture its metallic nature with photographs, but the color looks correct on my devices.
• Neck: Maple with oiled/wax finish on back, nitrocellulose headstock. Rosewood fingerboard. It has a 12” radius, 1.65” nut width, bone nut, and Medium C profile (0.86”-0.96”). Two way truss rod with adjustment in the heel. Vintage-tall frets, feel about like 6115s. Basically, the profile is pretty "standard Fender", with smaller frets (but not 50s tiny), and a flatter radius. This radius, fingerboard, and fret combination is *probably* closest to what comes on a SRV Signature series. Although, it has a slightly wider nut and a little thinner profile than one of those SRV necks.
• Pickups: Colmax Golden Age 60s style Telecaster pickups
• Bridge: Gotoh “In Tune” bridge with brass saddles.
• Tuning Machines: Gotoh non-locking
• Electronics: CTS potentiometers and switches. Three way standard switch with angled control plate. Electro socket jack.
• Other: The guitar weighs in slightly under 8 pounds. Equipped with chrome Schaller Strap locks. Thru-body string ferrules. Generic Canadian hard shell case.
