Nice old 30's - 40's Jazz archtop. Not sure who made it. Headstock looks Regal ish. I tried researching but only found one other like it and that guy didn't know anything about it either. When I got it the neck had a bow to it. I took the frets off and plained the fretboard flat with a little relief. The neck seems to be Poplar wood. No truss rod . Neck Is reset with ebony block under fretboard extension . Re fretted it with medium size frets. The fret markers were missing and the pockets were shallow after planing. Pockets were recut and inlaid with ivory piano key material. Unusual scalloped end of fretboard. The headstock has a shape I have not been able to identify. Kinda looks like Regal. The tuners we're missing so I put a period correct set I think they're Waverly. Bridge was missing. Now has an aftermarket ebony bridge. New custom pickguard. Original brass tailpiece. The back was taken off and the 2 cracks were repaired with cleats. Solid maple back and sides. Solid Spruce top. Back went back together good there is spots that the binding is proud of the side but not bad. 15 3/4" large Bout. Scale length is 25 7/8". Please ask any questions you may have.
