2013 Gibson Custom Shop R8 Les Paul Dark Burst
A very nice Gibson Custom Shop "1958" Les Paul Standard R8 in Dark Burst with flame top. In excellent condition with paperwork and original brown case. As a 2013, it has all the new improvements - hide glue, analine die, sleeveless truss rod, etc. Sound wise, these 2013's are the most consistently good sounding guitars on the planet. They all sound very similar - balanced and clear. The neck is text book 2013 R8 - .91" at the first fret, typical C shape with medium shoulders. The fretboard is nice and dark on this one, darker than most of these I've seen in fact. Frets are in perfect shape and are dressed nicely.
This one plays really well. The action is very low, with no dead spots or buzzing. The piece exhibits light player wear. 2 small imperfections are captured in the photos, one on the top (which has been filled) and one on the back edge.
