Moses Graphite Fretless Jazz Bass neck *READ DESCRIPTION* NECK ONLY

***PLEASE READ***

This is an authentic Moses Graphite fretless Jazz bass style neck. I had it worked on professionally which smoothed out the neck surface and added threaded inserts for a standard 4 bolt Fender neck pocket. It is not in good condition as follows:

-The threaded inserts cracked the graphite at the neck heel when I installed it for the first time, causing the lower two inserts to come out along with a chunk of the neck for each one. The pieces of graphite that came out were only 1/4" deep or less and did not extend deep into the neck heel. I reset the inserts with epoxy as it was a really clean break and it happened again when I reinstalled the neck the second time. Both times it broke along the body-side of the neck heel, leaving the fingerboard and truss rod cavity undamaged, as far as I can tell. The areas around those two inserts are slightly raised and not flush with the rest of the neck heel.

-One previously repaired crack in headstock from installing tuners too tight. It does not appear to have altered the structural integrity of the headstock.

-One newer crack in the headstock between the first two tuners that has not been repaired. I truly have no idea how this happened but it looks to be recent. I would not put string tension on this neck before this is addressed.

-Side markers had been moved long ago and left a giant cratered mess up the side of the neck, which has been repaired professionally. You can still see where the old markers were but feels very smooth and not noticeable.

I installed black HIpshot ultralite tuners and a black string tree, and I have larger black paddle style tuners that I will include as well.

Truss rod is in good condition and functions as intended, although I never even got to use it.I have the 4 bolts for the inserts which will be included.

I am losing HUNDREDS on this so that someone can put the work into it that it needs. I have done my best to document the problems with this neck so that there are no surprises when you get it. I am so disappointed with buying this that I'm selling it for half what I paid and I want it OUT of my house. Be prepared to spend a good amount for someone to fix these problems. Hopefully you can enjoy this neck someday as it was meant to be.
