Up for sale, a 1967 Doric Cheetah Reverb vintage combo organ in excellent condition and in good working order. Manufactured in Italy by GEM, the Cheetah Reverb shares the same tone generator boards as the Vox Jaguar, and it's no coincidence, since they were made in the same factory. Unique in its own right in the combo organ world, the Cheetah has a two octave bass register, five tone switches, and two vibrato switches for activating the effect and quickly toggling between slow/fast. Overall more reedy and bubbly sounding than the Jaguar, the Cheetah's bass register is also very distinct and warm.
All keys actuate easily and are level, and all tone switches work on all notes. Perhaps one of the more notable quirks about the Cheetah Reverb is that despite having a "Reverb" on/off switch, the organ never had the reverb effect built in to the keyboard, and it was an optional add-on (to be clear, this keyboard does not have reverb, despite GEM's marketing). Under the hood, all of the original tone generators are present, and all notes play in tune. A three-prong power cable has been added adjacent to the original two-prong receptacle.
Cosmetically, this is a very clean and well cared for combo organ, with a two-tone red and black exterior and orange molded plastic namerail. The organ comes complete with its original latching lid, and aside from some light scuffs and a bit of wear around the corners, the keyboard is clean as can be!
