Up for sale is this super cool 1956 Fender Musicmaster! This guitar has had several changes, but plays beautifully and sounds fantastic!
The neck is dated June of 1956 and has a nut width of 1 & 5/8". The guitar has a 3/4 scale length of 22.5" The neck is dead straight and the truss rod is functioning properly. The neck has a full V profile. The original frets show only light wear. The action is good and the guitar is a joy to play! There were other tuners on the guitar at some point but the originals single line Klusons are back on there now. The tuners are stiff when turning but are still functional and hold the guitar in tune.
The body has been refinished and was not a pro job but it looks good as is. The original anodized gold guard has overspray on the top. The pickup is original and sounds great with strong output. The Stackpole pots date to 1962. All of the wiring looks vintage except the output jack looks newer. The knobs have been replaced. The strap buttons look to be original. The neck plate is a replacement. The case is a vintage Musicmaster/Duo Sonic case and is in poor condition but the latches still function properly.
Overall this is a sweet player's grade vintage Musicmaster that sounds great and is fun to play!
