Increasingly rare vintage Harmonizer first released on the world 1977. Ubiquitous in pro studios for decades with its vocal doubling effect appearing on countless records, the H-949 was the new and improved version of Eventides H-910, the world’s first really useful pitch shifter. The H949 added flanging, longer delays, reversed and randomized delays and a micro-pitch mode for small intervals. Yes, we have more convenient tech for that now, but these things have a ghostly coolness that you don’t find much anymore. Particularly if you blow off what it was designed for and use it for crazy-ass, mind bending guitar tones or whatever. This example works but is showing its age. It has some dings and scuffing and a small amount of patina on the outboard control bus. It will ship with an IEC power lead. A PDF of the manual can be found and a contemporary review can be found . Cool toy for the right tweaker.
