In general excellent condition with only the slightest dust. No scratches rips or tears or big dings or anything to speak of. It’s quite new and has never been gigged. The tubes have all been pulled in the V1, V2 and V3 position and replaced with the highest quality hand selected 12AX7A military spec tubes money can buy. The military NOS RCA 12ax7a was $200 alone. I went a little overboard making this amp sound incredible but wow what a difference.

I’m not just saying it, it’s head and shoulders above another origin 50 on the market. The amp is biased to accept these tubes and sounds like the worlds nicest clean Marshall money can buy. As you know, if you’re looking for that plexi JCM sound this amp wasn’t designed for that but you can also put a plexi pedal in front of this thing and you’ve got it. I have a Finch Electronics Plexical Pedal for sale that does just that, which I can offer free combined shipping on, if you like.

The new tubes are a military NOS RCA 12ax7a in V1, Sylvania 12ax7a (ecc83) in V2 and a Russian Sovtek 12ax7 in V3 all of which have microphonic bands installed on them to reduce micro phonics which also helps provide a super clean and focused tonal output. This is the holy grail of Origins.

I was blown away at the difference that these tubes provided, it’s really light years away from its original Marshall tube sound. I don’t know how but somehow it’s about twice as loud with these tubes as well. Or at least it seems to be to my ears. it now sounds like 100W amp and is much more focused, punchy and sharp.

All in all, I have a Marshall vintage modern that I love, and this has now become my go to head instead. If you’re looking at a vintage modern for $1400, save your money and grab this thing instead. You won’t be disappointed.

I will ship the amp with the back installed but the tubes will be removed and packaged separately & securely so they do not get damaged.
