To be honest, we haven't always been the biggest Alvarez fans. But the WY1TS Yairi OM acoustic guitar is one fine instrument: visually striking, with abalone trim against the tobacco sunburst finish. it features tonewoods sourced from Kani, Japan — the Yairi family home and an exceptional climate for tonewoods — providing solid AA-grade Western Red Cedar for the top, East Indian rosewood for the back and sides, and mahogany and rosewood for the neck and fingerboard.

This OM utilizes Alvarez's FST2 bracing system and their direct coupled bridge, for maximized string separation and balanced projection. The mahogany neck is a very comfortable "C" shape. It's also equipped with an LR Baggs Element pickup. This is a top-of-the-line acoustic guitar — great-playing, sweet-sounding, beautiful and very well-constructed. We're definitely fans of this one!
