Like all Modern Deluxe guitars, this D-18 features a torrefied Spruce top, giving the guitar a mature, classic tone fresh out of the factory. A set of Liquidmetal bridge pins improve the guitar's volume and sustain by allowing greater transference of string vibrations into the sound chamber. Other modernizations include gold hardware, including a set of Waverly open gear tuners, and a slender, asymmetrical neck carve for effortless playability. The D-18 Modern Deluxe, then, delivers the best of both worlds, combining vintage tone with modern playability and innovation.
