The shipping carton has been opened to:
- Take PHOTOS - the guitar you SEE in this listing photos is the actual guitar you will RECEIVE.
- INSPECT for shipping damage, manufacturing defects, finish flaws. Any problems will be disclosed in the listing.
- SET-UP the guitar, so that what arrives on your doorstep will be VERY PLAYABLE right out of the carton. This basic set-up includes adjusting truss rod, setting intonation, and adjusting action. We strive to provide a medium-low action that will suit most musicians playing styles. Occasionally, sharp fret ends are filed, nut grooves deepened, etc. Sometimes we even replace defective parts, such as tuning peg.
We began importing Harley Benton guitars because we were amazed at the QUALITY OF INSTRUMENT that you could get for the price. But unfortunately, to buy one you had to deal with making a purchase from a foreign company, potential shipping damage claims from overseas shipping, possible customs hassles, receiving an instrument that had problems and then trying to resolve that with a foreign company. If you had never preformed a set-up on a guitar, there was the likely prospect that you would need to take the instrument to a tech, which would be an additional cost.
The goal of Wizard Engineering is to provide a SIMPLE AND SAFE way to purchase one of these excellent Harley Benton Instruments. We love guitars, and we do not ship an instrument until we are satisfied it is working properly and playing great.
