Made in Japan during the lawsuit era. It's a well used guitar that looks like it has been gigged for decades. I haven't gigged at all with it personally, I bought it off reverb a few years ago and played it at home. It's a great guitar, but my collection is too big and I am trying to purge a bunch of guitars. It plays great, and I hate to see it go, but I think this should go to a better place to be played more. The pickups sound great, the Brandonwounds themselves are worth around $200 I believe. And the neck feels very nice, the fretboard size feel a bit smaller than normal guitars, it's pretty nice for fast playing. I'm only selling it for this much because It is pretty much what I got it for, and I don't want to try to flip it for extra cash.
I bought this guitar already upgraded, the previous owner made these upgrades:
- Graphtech Ratio tuning machines
- Graphtech Resomax bridge
- Volume pots replaced with Bourne zero resistance 500k audio taper pots
- New knobs have been added
- Brandonwound JP#1 pickups have been put in to replace the no-name pickups that had been put in at some point in its life. JP#1 pickups are wound to reflect a classic rock '70s and '80s tone. Similar to a '70s Gibson T-top.
- Aftermarket truss rod cover
This guitar is pretty heavy, weighs around 10 lbs, the weight feels like an old Les Paul. The guitar plays great, and I'm only listing it as "Fair" condition because that was the condition that it was listed as when I bought it.
