The Zombie is just a limited color/decal on my Shamrock pedal.

If you, like me, found a certain popular green overdrive pedal to just not have enough of what you wanted so you tried hundreds of pedals and nothing quite did it for you.

So I tried modifying said green pedal, and then building and modifying kits, and eventually landed here. An awesome overdrive pedal with two, 6-way rotary switches.

The smaller knob on the right, green in the video, is for the capacitor rotary; effecting bass response. There is a capacitor in the original circuit that is one of the first things people swap out, usually doubling the value, to thicken up the sound of the pedal. Here we have 6 values to choose from. One is lower than the stock value, one IS the stock value, and the other four are double, x2.5, x5, x10 the stock value. In the last spot on the rotary, at x10 stock value, super bass-y, big round low end.

The smaller knob on the left side, Orange in the video, is for diode selection. Another popular mod for the original circuit is swapping diodes. Each setting has a combination of diodes and LEDs. The first three spots on the rotary are the standard diodes used in green overdrive clones, and the last three are kind of wild cards. In the last spot on the diode rotary is a germanium diode, which when reacting with the LED it’s paired with gets a super fuzzy, sputtery, gated, almost bit crushed sound with a very slight volume drop. (Trust me, it’s cool)

So all in all, there’s probably a million sounds to get out of this thing. It’s a really cool pedal, the video doesn’t do it justice. If you turn the rotary jobs just right you can get them to stick between two settings, creating even more sounds. And if you haven’t figured it out yet, it’s a TS style drive.

White LED.
