***** Please note, this is a made in Japan model, not a vintage USA. Not sure why the NJ series isn’t included on reverb’s options.

This was a full restoration that was done over the last few years. It was supposed to be a gigging guitar for myself, but i have since retired from playing out. I’m old.

There was damage to the top that was routed and replaced with new wood, it was then stripped, sealed and repainted. There are two barely visible lines in the finish where the new piece of wood is. They became visible over time but are hardly noticeable until you are looking for them.

The pickups are Dimarzio Evolution and Air Norton, and are wired with separate coil taps (push pull pots) and a phase switch. There’s a pretty great variety of tones in that.

Not a show piece but a good player and a looker. There are knicks and scratches all around and a mark in the back paint by the control cavity. The Kahler was moved for Better intonation and there are two filled screw holes between the Kahler and the bridge pickup that have been touched up. There is a hairline crack in the neck pocket as pictured. It was glued but it’s showing through the paint.

The mark on the back that looks to be from an old wire that was in the case with it while in storage. It might buff out, but I haven’t tried. The base black is an epoxy based paint. The scales are done in lacquer and acrylic airbrushing.
